Year Three Week 12

Once again I am typing this in the new year so I will do Dec in two pages

The seat that used to be where the counter is now was save and moved 17in. forward. The engine start battery was under it before along with the red dot and I kept both set ups.

A close up shows the battery in place along with the fuse. There is a negative terminal block there also. These are all around the boat, it makes sense to combine the negatives and have one wire going back rather then many.

I finally settled on how I was going to do the fore hatch, I duplicated the old one. I had Dave from the marina duplicate the old frame. I installed it by putting in anchor bolts from underneath and bedding with butyl. Then I had to build an inner frame. I couldn't get my hands on Teak for the inner frame so I used Mahogany and stained it which is why the tape is there. I had a borrowed cheap chop saw and getting the bevels and lengths right all the way around for the inner frame took some doing.

The final major task of the year, before Christmas we finally got the cockpit painted. Chris The Paint God came and spent a couple of days doing the final prep work and I masked everything and out came the gun. As you can see from the masked off areas there will be more antiskid than painted area when it is finished.
